Implementation of poka-yoke in Indian manufacturing industry by: enablers, barriers and questionnaire based survey

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In today global economy, the survival of companies depends on their ability to rapidly innovate and improve. As a result, an increasing search is on for the methods and processes that drive improvements in quality, costs and productivity. In the manufacturing industry PokaYoke method has become an important approach in order to produce quality products. The meaning of this method is poka-mistake, yoke-prevent or we can say that mistake preventing method. This method is very important tool by rejection in operation of a system may be eliminated. Various techniques may be applied to reduce or eliminate rejection and error in manufacturing process. It is the concentration on removing the cause of defect that is important. The main objective of this research work to identify various enablers, barrier and some case study with the help of questionnair based survey and subsequent statistical analysis.
